... in special moments
I've noticed that days pass by and I get engrossed in what I'm doing and occasionally I get overwhelmed and realise that I've taken on the role of 'martyr'. These aren't productive moments and fortunately they don't last long. But inevitably they're dispelled much more quickly when something special happens;

... in self esteem
When our self-esteem is high, we sometimes think of ourselves as Superman or Wonder Woman! We can walk on water, scale tall buildings with a single jump, create opportunities for ourselves, respond to challenges. We have a purpose in life and we can move forward, always keeping that purpose at the front of our minds.

... in parenthood
As children grow up, many parents wonder what has happened to the easy communication that seemed to exist within the family when the children were younger. ... on holiday
We often anticipate holidays with great excitement and, if you're anything like me, not a little stress! All the things I would normally be doing while I'm away still seem to need to be done - before I go. So I work myself to a frazzle, and stress everyone around me at the same time!

.... in your life
Many people believe that there are things they can't do. And, of course, they're right - some of the time! But what a lot of people don't seem to realise is that their brain doesn't know what it can't do until they tell it. And we tell our brains all sorts of things that are really not helpful.
