Partners Porirua are coordinating a Community Driver Mentor Programme. Like everything they do, they’re developing youth for the working world. Enabling the youth of Porirua to gain their driving licences is just one of their initiatives.

Many of us may have come across one of these young adults who are driving around without a licence or who are learners forever for want of someone to sit beside them and help them to learn.

This initiative is the brainchild not only of Partners Porirua but also The New Zealand Automobile Association and NZ Road Transport Agency and its aim is to promote safe driving in schools.

It’s their thoughts that counted when they dreamed up this way of helping young people.
